The Liverpool manager is demanding that his side be focussed on securing Champions League qualification
Liverpool have had an extremely disappointing run in this season. Having knocked out of the Champions League, FA Cup and fighting desperately to qualify for Champions League next season, the Reds have certainly seen better times.
Manchester City, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur are all vying for the 4th spot in the league, but all the three teams are in action in the FA Cup. Benitez will be hoping to take maximum points as his side travel to Wigan this weekend.
Rafael Benitez’ quotes:
"Manchester City, Tottenham and Aston Villa will be very dangerous so we cannot make many mistakes.”
"We know last year was really good in terms of points in the league (86) and now we are in a different and more difficul situation because the expectations were very high.”
"It is really difficult because we have three or four teams really close."
