Sunderland thrashed Bolton Wanderers 4-0 at the Stadium of Light
Darren Bent scored his first hat-trick of the English Premier League as Sunderland beat Bolton Wanderers 4-0. Fraizer Campbell scored his third goal for Sunderland in just 40 seconds to give the Black Cats a dream start.
It then took Sunderland until the 64th minute to get their second goal when Lee Cattermole's pass found Darren Bent and the former Spurs man made no mistake to give Sunderland a 2-0 lead. Samuel Ricketts foul on Bent seen him get a red card and a penalty to the Black Cats. Darren Bent picked himself up and slotted home to make it 3-0.
In the 88th minute Darren Bent completed his hat-trick and scored his 18th goal in the English Premier League. With that victory, Sunderland have climbed to the 13th place with 30 points and their goal difference is -8 as compared to -12 before this fixture.
