Manchester United beat AC Milan 4-0 at Old Trafford in the Champions League
AC Milan have crashed out of the Champions League with a 7-2 aggregate score line against Manchester United. Having lost their first leg 3-2 in Italy, the Rossoneri had a mountain to climb for their return leg in England.
This particular fixture marked the return of David Beckham to Old Trafford but Leonardo left the former United man on the bench. Wayne Rooney opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a trademark header. In the 46th minute he doubled United’s lead and when Park Ji-Sung made it 3-0 there was no way back for Milan.
Eight minutes before time, Darren Fletcher made it four and a 7-2 aggregate score. Like Arsenal, Manchester United cruise through the quarter finals and Wayne Rooney continued his Premiership form by taking his tally to four in the Champions League.
