Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Martin Jol has agreed terms with Fulham
Martin Jol is all set to return to London after a three years absence. The 54-year-old Dutch International managed Spurs from 2004 to 2007, but failed to bring any silverware to white hart lane.
During the 2006-07 season, Martin Jol spent around £32.7 million on all players including Dimitar Berbatov from Bayer Leverkusen for £10.9 million, who was eventually sold to Manchester United for £23.4 million and with Fraizer Campbell joining Spurs.
Martin Jol flew to London today and is speculated to have agreed to a £1.5million a year contract with Fulham.
On 28 May 2009, Jol signed a three year contract with Dutch club AFC Ajax and won the KNVB Cup in his very first season in charge with de Godenzonen. Ajax finished second in the 2009-10 Eredivisie, just one point behind eventual winners FC Twente.
This news will definitely be a huge blow for all Ajax fans, as Martin Jol could have brought the glory days back to the Amsterdam Arena.
