London club West Ham United have completed the transfer of Frederic Piquionne from Lyon
French International Frédéric Piquionne becomes West Ham United’s first signing of the 2010-11 season. The 31-year-old Frenchman had a brilliant 2009-10 season with former Premier League club Portsmouth but could not help Pompey getting relegated.
After scoring 11 goals in 45 appearances for Portsmouth, current West Ham and former Pompey manager Avram Grant signed Piquionne from French club Lyon for an undisclosed fee.
Piquionne signed a three year contract with the Hammers and will be featured in the first fixture of the 2010-11 season against Aston Villa at Villa Park.
