Coventry City has signed Lukas Jutkiewicz from Eventon F.C for an undisclosed fee

Southampton born, Lukas Jutkiewicz has signed a three-year contract with Championship side Coventry City. The 21-year-old striker becomes the sixth player to be signed by City ever since the 2010 transfer window opened.

Newly appointed Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd is reconstructing the team before the start of the 2010-11 Championship and is hoping to better the 19th position from the 2009-10 season.

Lukas Jutkiewicz started his career with Swindon Town where he made 38 appearances and scored five goals for the Robins. After two memorable seasons, Everton signed the striker for £1million.

On December 2008, Lukas Jutkiewicz made his debut for Everton after coming on as a substitute against Sunderland. But unfortunately that was the only match he played for the Blues.During his tenure in Everton, Jutkiewicz was loaned to Plymouth Argyle, Huddersfield Town and Scotish side Motherwell. Jutkiewicz made 33 appearances and scored 12 goals for Motherwell.

It was reported that Motherwell wanted to sign the striker on a permanent three-year-deal but Jutkiewicz  opted to join Coventry City instead.
